The principles of the Würzburger Versicherungs-AG

What are the legal bases?

The data security plays a major role in the internet. Relevant laws are provided in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

The German Federal Data Protection Act will only use, if no division-specific data protection rules are existing. It is only relevant, if data processing installations processed, used or collected or if data automated and nonautomated used or collected. The German Telemedia Act (TMG) protect the user´s personal data recarding the collecting, proccesing and using of data by the service provider. Especially inventory-, usage-, and accounting data. This is in accordance with Paragraph 14 Part 1 of the TMG which allows Würzburger Versicherungs-AG to collect and use such data where it is necessary for establishing, for the substance of, or for modification to the contractual relationship with the Member for the use of the Platform (Master Data) or the storage and use is otherwise legally permitted. In accordance with Paragraph 15, Part 1 of the TMG, Master Data is all information necessary for the utilisation of the Würzburger Versicherungs-AG Platforms and for billing. This provision includes all information that results from the use of the Platform and is necessary to provide the individual services. The TMG do not collect content data, which have anything to do with usage of telemedia. The BDSG applies. The usage data (for e. g. day and time of your visit at our homepage) will only used and not personal data. It is exclusively for the generation of anonymous statistics to assist us in optimizing our Internet presence.

Which data does the Würzburger Versicherungs-AG collect and why?

Personal data are only collected in interest of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), which are individual details about the personal and factual circumstances of a specific or definable individual person. These may also be, depending on the nature of the contract, in addition to the name, address, date of birth, bank details, travel information and also passport number or the home country. We need these data for the tariff calculation and conclusion of the contract for example visa applications. Furthermore you have the opportunity to ask questions to our employees in the Live-Chat about already existing contracts or planned conclusions. Here we also may require personal data to answer your questions correctly. In accordance with the BDSG all these data is subject to special protection, which we guarantee though technical and organizational measures.

How does the Würzburger Versicherungs-AG handle your data?

The principle of data avoidance and data economy is important for us! Personal data is only collected by us in special cases. Personal data is only required once when drawing up the contract. Up to this time is an anonymous use according to Paragraph 13 Part 6 of the TMG possible. You can also end the use of the teleservice by closing the browser or opening another web page (according to Paragraph 13 Part 4 of the TMG). For processing your request, we will save all information given by you. We save the treaty texts (for e. g. insurance policy, conditions, product information) which we provided you at the time of conclusion of the contract also in text- and electronical form.

The technical equipment which supports the website is based on our company domicile. A permanet monitoring and a rapid assistance in case of problems is ensured  by our in-house technical department.

Right of access

According to the German Data Protection Act (BDSG) you have the right to request information about data saved by us, its intended use and its recipient, and in certain circumstances a right to demand correction, barring or deletion of this data or should you want to recall or to withdraw your explicit consent you can turn any time to the data protection officer of the Würzburger Versicherungs-AG. Transmission of data

No nominative personal data whatsoever shall be shared with any company or organisation outside of the Würzburger Versicherungs-AG and theire agents also not via user groups or email lists. We always take notice of the Community competition law and the boundaries set by common standards on data protection. You can withdraw your agreement at any time object to intra-corporate use of personal data for advertising. In this case please contact our data protection officer. Note: We would point out that during the transmission of data via the Internet, we have no influence on the data transport and are unable to prevent improper access by third parties to the data provided by you. Collecting and sharing information:
